Dice Ready to be Polished

Hello!

The new resin kanji sets are ready to be polished and painted! We are one schedule for the new sets and we will send a new update when they are in the United States (and we can lock  the addresses)

The Arabic, Kanji, and Thai Metal Dice are now live. Here are the links for the metal dice Kickstarter for Early Bird special and the contest to win a sample set of Arabic metal dice!

Updates, Addresses, and Launches

Hello Everyone! 

Updates

I have the new samples in hand and they look great! The new mold is good and all the dice are in production as of today (Round 2- see previous updates to for the story). Production should be 20-25 business days, then they are shipped here for final inspection, and sent out to everyone! Thank you again for your patience. 

Addresses

We've gotten a few messages about new addresses- you can either message us directly or update everything in Backerkit (it is unlocked again due to the delays). We will send out a new update when we lock addresses again when the dice have arrived.

New Projects

The Talis Evolvere Metal Dice Sets are set to launch on June 8th. We have the preview site available ( https://bit.ly/MetalTalisEvolvere ) and appreciate any feedback. There will be having another social media contest to be able to win a free set- so follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for that.

I am sorry we have to launch another project before these dice have been shipped- it wasn't the plan. However, we will be attending FanX (Salt Lake Comic Con) as our first event ever in September and we want backers to be able to pick up their dice at the event to avoid shipping. To be able to do that (and since FanX isn't planning on delaying their dates), we can't delay the launch any further. It will not cause any delays for the resin Kanji dice- this project is still our first priority. Please message us with any concerns you may have. Thank you again!

New Molds and New Projects

Hello everyone! 

I will try to be short: we have a new manufacturer and made new molds. Here are some pictures:

Here are the next steps:

• Review the new samples (Global shipping has had some major issues, so they are still in transit)
• Make all backer sets and add ons (Will take 20-25 days)
• Ship all dice to the US (normally 5-7 days, but there has been some wild variance)
• Ship sets to backers! (Please let us know if you have a new address)

Next Project

As we are sure you know, these projects can take months or years to plan. Last year we planned to launch our metal dice sets this week (before the craziness called 2020 happened). We do have our first 3 sets ready and would love your feedback. The new launch date is TBD.

Updates- It has gotten complicated

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! We wanted to wait until we had some conclusive information before sending an update, but it does not look like that is possible. After almost 3 months of delays for COVID, the dice finally made it last week and did not pass our quality control. With that, I am sorry but we are going to have delays. 

We have several possible solutions that we are working on- including recasting everything, changing manufacturers, or changing styles/font colors. If we do change styles, we will send a survey out via Kickstarter to see if backers would like the new style or old style and try to accommodate each backer's communication. 

The changed style would be gold dust (instead of flakes) like this: 

Again, I am sorry about the delays. Please let us know what you think about this style. We will keep everyone informed as we continue to try and fix the problems.  Message us with any questions or suggestions.  

UPDATE:

For those who wanted to see some of the issues that were not present in the samples, the red from the numbers is clinging to the gold flakes in the resin. Here's a photo (flaws on the left edge of D6 and the right edge of D8):
